Ecco Domani- an Italian wine company- recently revealed seven up-and-coming designers through their 2012 Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation Awards. Of these winners, Titania Inglis, who launched her self-named label in 2010, took the sustainable design category and will recieve a grant to showcase her collections during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York.

Titania’s line incorporates thoughtfully selected materials including organic cottons from Japan, veggie-tanned leather, and dead stock fabrics from the local garment district.

Her latest (SS 2012) collection will feature dip-dyeing with natural dyes.

Titania’s background consists of studies in draping and patternmaking at New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology and apprenticeships under cult New York designers Camilla Stærk, Jean Yu, and Threeasfour before launching her solo line.
